Job Title: HGV Jetting Rig Leader
Location: Swindon
Salary: To £38,844 depending on experience
OnSite is one of the UK's leading providers of professional contracting services. With a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects and contracts across a broad spectrum of market sectors, OnSite consists of specialist operating areas - drainage, sewer rehabilitation, pipelines, civil engineering, specialist maintenance and rail services.
We are looking for an experienced HGV Jetting Operative to join our operational team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of on-site services while leading and supporting operational crews.
You will take ownership of jobs from preparation through to completion, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to the required standard, while maintaining excellent client service and driving productivity and profitability.
The Role:
Lead and deliver on-site operations safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Review job packs, risk assessments, and method statements prior to work
Ensure all vehicles, equipment, and PPE are compliant and fit for purpose
Drive and take responsibility for company HGV vehicles (Class 1 or Class 2)
Carry out dynamic risk assessments and lead toolbox talks on site
Supervise and allocate work to crews, driving productivity and quality
Maintain clear communication with Supervisors, teams, and customers
Complete all job documentation, checklists, and customer paperwork
Take ownership of on-site health & safety and report incidents promptly
Support, train, and mentor team members
What you'll need:
Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with CPC
Proven experience leading operational crews in a similar environment
Strong health & safety knowledge and leadership mindset
Ability to work flexibly, including days and nights
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
