MCS Group are proud to be working with Friends' School Lisburn, a highly respected and well-established educational organisation, seeking to appoint an Assistant Bursar to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a varied role supporting financial management, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence within a large and dynamic organisation.
The Opportunity
- Play a key role supporting senior leadership and financial strategy.

The Role
- Prepare management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Oversee income management, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Support audits, financial statements, and compliance activities.
- Manage VAT returns, banking, and financial controls.
- Assist with finance projects and system improvements.
The Person
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA accountant.
- Strong finance and accounting experience.
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
- Effective communicator with strong organisational ability.
- Proactive, analytical, and able to lead others.
