Technical Team Lead (Belfast-Hybrid)

MCS Group is delighted to be working with an established global organisation as they look to appoint a Technical Team Leader to join their Belfast team. This is an opportunity to lead from the front in a role that blends people leadership with hands-on technical delivery across large-scale, business-critical platforms.

The RoleYou'll lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering modern software solutions in an Agile environment. This is a technical leadership position where you'll remain close to architecture, engineering standards and delivery while helping shape team performance and technical direction.

You'll work across the full software lifecycle, collaborating closely with architecture, product and delivery teams to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions are delivered at pace. Expect a strong focus on engineering excellence, CI/CD, cloud technologies and continuous improvement.

The PersonYou'll bring experience leading high-performing software teams alongside a strong software engineering background in technologies such as C#, Java or similar. Experience building distributed or cloud-native applications, driving best practice and mentoring engineers will be key.

Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD, event-driven architecture, microservices and modern engineering practices will set you apart. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to balance technical quality with delivery outcomes are essential.
