Job Description and Tasks:

• Independent chef

• Location: Krishna Vilas Utrecht (Kaatstraat 1, 3513BV, Utrecht)

• Employment type: Full-time job / 38 hours per week

• Salary indication: €2500-€3250 gross per month excluding holiday pay.

• Catering Industry CAO compliant employment conditions

• Performing preparatory work such as washing, cutting, (pre) cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.;

• Assessing the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.), preparing tools;

• Executing preparations, monitoring/controlling quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc., and making adjustments/additions;

• Making orders ready to serve by performing   la minute cooking tasks, portioning, and garnishing;

• Supervising the work of assistants, providing guidance and instructions;

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP, and work and presentation methods (house style).

Your Profile

Knowledge and Skills

• MBO level 3 work and thinking level;

• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques;

• Knowledge of products/ingredients and (the composition of) the menu.

• Language Dutch or English
