Location: South Somercotes, Nr Louth
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Probation Period: 6 Months
Are you a recently qualified Quantity Surveyor looking to build your career within the Groundworks and Civil Engineering sector? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience across a variety of projects while working alongside experienced commercial and operational professionals in a supportive environment with clear career progression.
Responsibilities
Measuring and quantifying construction drawings
Preparing cost estimates, valuations, and project budgets
Assisting in the development and monitoring of work programmes
Assessing project variations and supporting cost control measures
Monitoring project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle
Attending site visits, progress meetings, and client meetings as required
Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management
Supporting business development and the promotion of future projects
Applying industry standards, contractual requirements, and best practices
Working closely with the Commercial and Civils Teams to ensure successful project delivery
Key Skills
Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and colleagues
Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop within the construction industry
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Good understanding of construction processes and commercial principles
Competent in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software packages
Full clean driving licence
Right to work in the UK
