Main Purpose

Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual at either the early or more established stage of their career to further develop and enhance their professional accounting skills. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance professionals, providing support across a range of accounting functions while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile accounts to include balance sheet items
• Prepare various tax returns for individuals and partnerships
• Provide administrative support, assist with compliance and general ad-hoc office duties (particularly MTD for Income Tax requirements)

Essential Criteria:

• Accounting Technician qualification or qualified by experience
• At least 2 years' experience working in accounting environment (preferably Accountancy Practice)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Competent or familiar with payroll and accounting/tax software (although not essential)
• Good communication and teamwork skills, be able to communicate effectively with clients and staff alike
