Edge Transport is seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join our busy local haulage team.
This is a full-time position with 45 contracted hours per week . Working hours are managed over a reference period, with any additional hours paid at the standard rate.
You will be driving one of our well-maintained vehicles, all of which are under five years old.

Applicants must hold a HGV Class 2 licence (with no more than 3 points) and ideally have more than 1 years Class 2 driving experience as well as a full CPC in order to apply for this role. Ongoing CPC training will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
Carrying out daily vehicle, loading, and safety checks
Delivering to both commercial and residential addresses
Acting professionally and safely at all times whilst representing Edge Transport
Meeting target fuel efficiency and route time requirements
Ensuring the allocated vehicle is kept clean and presentable
Acting responsibly to ensure food product quality, safety, and legal compliance
Reporting any damage, defects, near misses, or non-conformances
Completing all required paperwork accurately and within required timescales
Adhere to all traffic laws and Tachograph regulations.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
