Hematology/Oncology Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: 08/01/2026


• End Date: 07/01/2027


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p; possible travel up to two days per week to outlying office
  
  
  • Weekend onsite rounding (Saturday and Sunday, 4 hours per day) on assigned weekends
  
  
  
  


• Call Schedule: Beeper call after hours; 1:2 ratio

Clinical Details

• EMR System: Epic


• Practice Settings: Outpatient, Inpatient


• Patients Per Shift: 12-15


• Rounding Patients: Assigned Patients


• Support Staff: 6 infusion RNs (16 chairs), 3 RN navigators, 2 RN oral chemo navigators, 1 inpatient APP, 1 outpatient APP, 3 MOAs
  
  
  • Required to supervise advance practice providers
  
  
  
  


• Call: Response time within 30 minutes; 0-5 phone consults; Patients Per Day: 0-5; Call Back %:10
  
  
  • No need to return in person to clinic or hospital
  
  
  • May need to answer to clinic critical values or urgent patient matters
  
  
  
  


• No admissions; consulting service only


• Trauma level 1


• Hospital rounds/consults to be completed daily on the assigned weeks & weekends


• Locums-to-Perm candidates highly favored

Requirements

• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology


• Licenses: Active PA license or IMLC with LOQ


• Certifications: Completion of 3 hours of child abuse recognition and reporting education and 4 hours of pain management and opioid prescribing education preferred


• Fellowship preferred
