Physician Assistant (Primary Care / Functional Medicine) - Coeur d'Alene, ID



Job Type: Full-Time (preferred) Part-Time (considered)

Schedule: 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts) One on-call weekend every 5 weeks

Facility Type: Outpatient Primary Care Setting



Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a patient-focused primary care practice in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The role offers a balanced schedule, a supportive clinical environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on adult and geriatric patient populations.


Key Responsibilities




  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with clinical protocols and the scope of practice

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging

  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and community resources as needed

  • Perform minor in-office procedures and limited in-house lab work (based on credentials)

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation

  • Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure quality patient outcomes



Qualifications




  • Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Idaho

  • National certification (NCCPA for Physician Assistant)

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in primary care, with functional experience (preferred)


  • Active DEA and Idaho Controlled Substance Registration

  • Current BLS certification

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously



Schedule




  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday-Thursday) or (Tuesday-Friday)

  • Phone-only on-call rotation approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks
