Schedule & Coverage Needs:

This opportunity requires night coverage on a 7p 7a, 7-on / 7-off rotation. Providers must be able to arrive one day prior for orientation. Coverage dates include:




  • December 15 December 21 (credentialed providers only)




  • December 29 January 4 (credentialed providers only)




  • January 12 January 18




  • January 26 February 1




  • February 9 February 15




  • February 23 March 1




  • March 9 March 15




  • March 23 March 29




  • April 6 April 12




  • April 20 April 26





Position Overview:

A high-acuity medical center in Greenville, NC is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Physician Assistant to provide night coverage for their neurosurgery service line. This role is fully inpatient and supports a busy Level 1 trauma environment with a well-established neurosurgical team.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage inpatient neurosurgery patients overnight




  • Perform admissions and discharges (rare at night, but possible)




  • Conduct inpatient consultations




  • Provide OR first assist support if desired (optional)




  • Collaborate closely with attending neurosurgeons and fellow APPs




  • Maintain clear and timely documentation within the EMR





Practice Environment:




  • Level 1 Trauma Center




  • Inpatient-only role




  • Robust team: 9 Neurosurgeons & 9 APPs




  • 24/7 inpatient neurosurgery coverage and support





Requirements:




  • Board Certification as PA




  • Neurosurgery or high-acuity inpatient experience strongly preferred




  • Must hold BLS and ACLS (AHA required)




  • Ability to work a consistent 7-night block schedule




  • Willingness to complete orientation the day before first shift
