Setting:
Hospital-Based OB/GYN Call Coverage
Clinical Responsibilities:
Patient rounding
Coverage for vaginal deliveries
Coverage for emergent C-sections
Coverage for emergent gynecologic procedures
Management of routine and emergent OB cases
High-risk deliveries stabilized and transferred to tertiary centers
Facility Overview:
Approximately 27 deliveries per month
Approximately 11 C-sections per month
3 labor rooms
14 postpartum rooms
Level I Nursery
Critical newborns transferred to higher level facilities
Strong hospitalist leadership support
24/7 anesthesia and radiology support available
Solo physician coverage model
20-minute response time required
Procedures Required:
Vaginal Deliveries
Cesarean Sections
Emergent GYN Procedures
EMR: Not specified
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible OB-GYN
Active State License Required
Case logs required from previous 12 months (GYN procedures, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections)
