Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained at all times. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creativity while managing a busy kitchen environment.


Duties


Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in accordance with recipes and specifications
Manage food safety protocols, maintaining compliance with health and hygiene regulations
Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Coordinate daily kitchen activities, including ordering supplies, stock control, and scheduling staff shifts
Ensure proper food presentation and maintain consistency across all dishes served
Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation to uphold a safe working environment
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery


Skills


Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Strong leadership qualities combined with a passion for hospitality and customer satisfaction
Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable
Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism and high standards in all aspects of kitchen operations


Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
