Robbinsdale offers a charming suburban setting in the Minneapolis metropolitan area, providing healthcare professionals with the perfect blend of small-town community feel while maintaining proximity to the cultural and recreational amenities of the Twin Cities region.



Facility:

This facility is a Level I adult trauma center that also provides care for pediatric patients. The hospital features state-of-the-art technology with the EPIC electronic medical record system and offers comprehensive trauma care with 24-hour trauma surgeon coverage and specialty back-up support.



Opportunity:

NP/PA - Trauma Surgery



Job Details:

• Locum tenens opportunity from May to July with up to full-time work available
• Function primarily as a trauma hospitalist rounder with some intermittent ED consult, trauma activations, and procedures work
• Possibility for surgical and trauma critical care work for qualified candidates
• No call required - in-house coverage only
• Round on 10-14 admitted non-ICU patients or 6 ICU patients per day
• Handle 2-15 admissions/ED patients per 24-hour shift
• Work autonomously with 24-hour trauma surgeon support
• Care for patients aged 0-100+, primarily adult and adolescent population
• Manage ventilation (including non-invasive vent management - BIPAP/CPAP)
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial line placement, and suturing minor lacerations
• Respond to ED for trauma alerts
• Facilitate patient discharges and ER admissions
• Provide daily rounding and management of all conditions (no hospitalists used)
• Follow guidelines and meet non-clinical expectations for tracking
• Must be Board Certified (ACNP, AGNP, PA-C)
•Must have active Minnesota license
• ATLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• DEA registration required
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (must be pulled within same month)
• Minimum 1 year of practice as an APP in the inpatient setting (trauma, ICU, and/or orthopedics experience preferred)



Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
