Cardiology Job Details

  Setting: Inpatient Cardiology Unit

  Schedule: 7 consecutive days inpatient, one week per month (Tuesday 7am to Tuesday 7am; variable week)


• 
  Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts


• 
  Employment Type: Locum tenens physician (Travel Contract)


• 
  Patient Encounters Per Shift: 5 13


• 
  Start Date: ASAP


• 
  Assignment Duration: Ongoing, minimum 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient care for patients with advanced heart failure and those undergoing heart transplant evaluation and management


• Participate in night call coverage, including facility callbacks


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality clinical support


• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records


• Support the ongoing excellence and growth of the cardiology department

Physician Qualifications

• Active Washington State medical license (required for Washington cardiology jobs)


• Board certification in Cardiology


• Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology strongly preferred


• Minimum 1 year of experience in heart failure and transplant cardiology


• Current ACLS and BLS certifications


• Ability to take night call and respond to facility callbacks
