Radiologist Job Details
Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract)
Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital radiology department
Location: Kittanning, Pennsylvania (PA)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
Hours per Week: 40
Daily Volume: imaging studies per shift
Imaging Modalities: X-ray (XR), CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine
Subspecialty Case Mix: Emergency Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, SMK, Neuro, Pediatrics, Mammography Diagnostic Procedures
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology (Required)
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License (Required)
- DEA Registration (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of post-residency experience in diagnostic radiology
- Proficiency in interpreting X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and Nuclear Medicine studies
- Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies (XR, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine)
- Perform light interventional radiology procedures
- Conduct biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, bone, renal) using CT and ultrasound guidance
- Perform drainages (paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess, chest tube, cysts)
- Conduct diagnostic lumbar punctures, myelograms, and epidurals
- Perform arthrograms for joint injuries (knee, elbow, hip, ankle, shoulder)
- Collaborate with referring physicians and clinical healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all radiology procedures and interpretations
