Head & Neck Surgery Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center Jacksonville, Florida
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday Friday + Shared Call
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to join our Head & Neck Surgery team in Jacksonville, Florida.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a nationally recognized, academically aligned cancer program bringing the MD Anderson standard of care to Northeast Florida.

Our 330,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cancer center is dedicated exclusively to oncology and provides comprehensive support across the full continuum of care.
Role OverviewThe APP will play an integral role in the Head & Neck Surgery service line, supporting patients across the full spectrum of care including outpatient clinic, inpatient management, and the operating room.
This position offers a high level of clinical autonomy and hands-on procedural experience within a collaborative surgical team.
Key Responsibilities Inpatient Care- Independently round on post-operative patients
- Manage wound care, pain control, and recovery progression
- Coordinate care with consulting teams
- Evaluate new consults and assist with discharge planning
- Serve as first assist in head & neck surgical procedures
- Assist in open, endoscopic, robotic, and microvascular reconstruction cases
- Support perioperative and post-operative patient management
- Evaluate new and follow-up patients in pre- and post-operative settings
- Perform in-office procedures (e.g., wound care, laryngoscopy, minor closures)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
- Opportunity to develop an independent clinic over time
- Monday Friday schedule
- Shared call responsibilities:
- Weekday home call
- Weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for urgent cases
- Master s degree (APRN or PA-C)
- Certified and licensed as an APRN or Physician Assistant in Florida (or eligible)
- Surgical experience required
- First assist experience preferred
