Payroll Officer



  • Job Type: Part-Time (2.5/3 days per week, flexible) with potential for Full-Time

  • Location: Dungannon

  • Salary: Competitive



Reed Recruitment are delighted to working with a successful business based in Dungannon. Our client is seeking to recruit and experienced Payroller to join their finance team, managing the payroll function end-to-end to ensure accurate and timely processing. This role offers flexibility in working hours, with a requirement to work some time at the beginning of the week to suit processing schedules. There is also potential to expand this role to a full-time position, incorporating finance administration duties



Day-to-day of the role:



  • Manage weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees across all group companies, covering multiple jurisdictions (NI and ROI).

  • Process starters and leavers through the payroll system.

  • Calculate payments for Sickness, Parental, and Annual leave.

  • Administer company pension and benefits schemes.

  • Prepare payroll reports and ensure accurate record-keeping of payroll transactions.

  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with any changes to legislation.

  • Comply with data protection regulations regarding the storage and retention of data.

  • Offer advice and guidance on payroll-related queries.



Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in a payroll setting is necessary.

  • Experience with Paycircle (currently implementing) and familiarity with Sage Payroll.

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good organisational and time management skills.
