Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining an organised and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members to enhance their skills and performance
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management capabilities
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and high standards of service
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers is highly desirable
A passion for culinary excellence coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
