Hematology/Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for ongoing clinic and inpatient call coverage in Pennsylvania. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of hematology and oncology in a collaborative community-based cancer program.

Assignment Details:

• Start: July 2026


• Ongoing assignment


• Minimum 6-month commitment


• Full-time coverage required

Schedule:

• 5 clinic days/week


• 8-hour clinic shifts


• Clinic hours begin at 8:00 AM


• Last patient scheduled at 3:30 PM


• 30-minute lunch included

Call Requirements:

• 1:2 call rotation


• 10 weeknights/month


• 2 weekends/month


• Weeknight call: 4:15 PM 8:00 AM


• Weekend: 24-hour call coverage


• Light overnight phone volume

Practice Setting:

• Acute care hospital + outpatient clinic


• Rural community environment


• Adult Hematology/Oncology population


• Infusion center onsite


• Radiation Oncology onsite


• EMR: Epic

Work Details:

• Average 15 patients/day


• 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology


• Solid tumor oncology


• Benign and malignant hematology


• Consulting service only (hospitalists manage admissions)

Procedures NOT Required:

• Bone marrow biopsies


• Lumbar punctures


• Port access


• BMT consults/care

Support Structure:

• Hem/Onc physician support onsite


• APP support


• Oncology-certified nursing staff


• Pharmacist support


• Participation in tumor boards

Requirements:

• BC/BE Hematology/Oncology


• Pennsylvania license or IMLC


• DEA required


• Minimum 1 year experience

Credentialing:

• Approximately 90 days


• Temporary privileges available for clean files
