Job description

Position Overview:


  • Start Date: June 1, 2025





  • End Date: Ongoing





  • Coverage Type: Call Only





  • Call Schedule: Beeper call; response time within 30 minutes





  • Phone Consults: 6 8 per 24-hour shift





  • Patients Seen: /day





  • Practice Setting: Inpatient only





  • EMR: MediTech



Required Skills & Procedures:



  • Bread and Butter General Surgery




  • Must be able to perform tunneled dialysis catheter placements




  • Laparoscopic surgery, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, endoscopy, and more

    Rounding required



Credentialing & Licensure:



  • Board Certification required




  • Must hold an active KY license or IMLC





  • ACLS & BLS required





  • Estimated credentialing time: 4 6 weeks





  • Temporary privileges available



Travel & Lodging:



  • Travel and lodging covered
