Job description

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a full-time, Pathologist. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America's Veterans.


Candidates must possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State.



Ideal Candidate is: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine



Highlights of this opportunity:




  • Potential starting base salary range: $200K-$275K




  • Permanent full-time position




  • Daily schedule, to be discussed during interview. 24 hour on-call rotation.




  • Provide final diagnostic interpretation for all specimens processed within the laboratory




  • Perform gross examination of surgical specimens




  • Conduct and interpret intraoperative frozen sections




  • Participate in multi-disciplinary conferences and committees




  • Order and interpret immunohistochemical and special stains




  • Provide immediate adequacy assessments for CT-guided or image-guided procedures




  • Interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens




  • Interpret peripheral blood smears submitted for pathologist review
