Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant

Job Title: ACNP / PA-C Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU

GHR Healthcare is seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to support a high-acuity Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU team. This opportunity is driven by recent staffing shortages due to maternity leaves and a resignation, creating an immediate need for skilled ICU providers.

• 12-bed Neuro ICU


• Neuro floor coverage


• APP-driven service model


• EMR: Epic

• 13-hour shifts
  
  
  • Days: 5:30 AM 6:30 PM
  
  
  • Nights: 5:30 PM 6:30 AM
  
  
  
  


• Mix of days, nights, and weekends


• 1 2 weekend shifts per month


• Self-scheduling model

• ICU: 6 patients per provider


• Floor (if applicable): up to patients

• Provide critical care management in a Neuro ICU setting


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams


• Perform procedures as needed (preferred but not required):
  
  
  • Central line placement
  
  
  • Arterial line placement
  
  
  • Bronchoscopy (team-supported)
  
  
  
  


• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care

Required:

• Certified ACNP or PA-C


• ICU experience (required)

Preferred:

• Trauma and/or Neuro ICU experience


• Procedural experience (lines, airway support, etc.)

• Always staffed with at least two providers (no solo coverage)


• Highly collaborative, APP-led model
