CRNA Job Details Fort Myers, Florida


  • Location: Fort Myers, Florida Leading destination for Florida healthcare jobs


  • Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract CRNA position)


  • Healthcare Setting: Level 2 trauma center with 26 anesthesia rooms


  • Shifts per Week: 4


  • Shift Duration: 12-hour days (6:00 AM 4:00 PM)


  • Hours per Week: 36


  • Case Types: General anesthesia, neuro, ortho (No hearts, peds, or OB unless trauma-related)


  • Charting System: Epic EMR


  • Supervision: 4:1 CRNA to MD anesthesiologist ratio


  • On-Call: No in-house or pager call required

CRNA Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program

  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

  • Ability to start promptly after credentialing

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent

  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients and families

  • Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia for general and trauma cases

  • Monitor and document patients' physiological status during procedures using Epic EMR

  • Perform clinical interventions as needed and respond to anesthesia-related emergencies

  • Collaborate with supervising anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
