Job Summary:


The Air Force Cardiac Surgeon plays a pivotal role in enlightening our community about the dynamic and demanding field of military medical practice, particularly within the specialized realm of cardiac surgery. While mingling in a relaxed caf© environment, the professional will share their experiences, knowledge, and technical expertise in a way that s engaging, informative, and inspiring to our patrons.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Engage with Patrons:



    • Share experiences and stories from the field of cardiac surgery within the Air Force, fostering an enlightening and educational environment.

    • Participate in scheduled talks, Q&A sessions, or informal conversations with caf© visitors interested in the medical field.





  • Educational Contributions:



    • Develop and conduct workshops or presentations on various topics related to cardiac surgery, military medicine, and potentially life-saving techniques.

    • Provide insights into the medical world, particularly in high-stakes, high-pressure surgical environments.





  • Mentorship:



    • Engage with aspiring surgeons and medical students, providing mentorship and guidance on navigating a career in the military medical field.

    • Offer advice on education, residency, and career development within the specialized field of cardiac surgery.





  • Community Engagement:



    • Utilize your expertise to help curate content for social media, blogs, and newsletters, spotlighting the intriguing, challenging, and rewarding world of a cardiac surgeon in the Air Force.

    • Participate in community events, representing Air Force and forging connections between the medical and local communities.





  • Compliance and Ethical Considerations:



    • Ensure that all shared information adheres to military protocol, safeguarding any sensitive or classified information pertaining to military operations or personnel.

    • Maintain ethical considerations and patient confidentiality when sharing medical stories and experiences.





Qualifications:



  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for mentoring and engaging with the community.
