Position: x2 Contract I&C Engineers needed, Aberdeen


We are looking for two Senior I&C Engineers to join our Oil and Gas client. Their offices are based in central Aberdeen with good train and bus links.

These two roles will be for an initial 4 months, with the chance to extend. You need to be able to interview early next week and to start within the next 2 weeks.

Your skills and expertise will be utilised across a range of UKCS projects. The Instrument and Control Engineer will provide front line asset engineering support to the execution team running the asset with the aim of executing effective maintenance and repair activities and reports into the Asset Operations Manager.

You will act as focal point for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of control and instrumentation systems and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, improve reliability, and reduce operating costs.

Position Specifics & Deliverables

  • Perform Instrumentation and Control engineering detail design calculations for UKCS assets

  • Development of Instrumentation and equipment datasheets

  • Development of Instrumentation and equipment technical specifications

  • Development of equipment purchased scopes of work

  • Design database data input and development

  • Adhere to the project schedule

  • Review vendor documentation

  • Site/vendor inspections and testing

  • Input to commissioning plans

  • Development of commissioning check sheets

  • Interaction and direction of DCS vendor

  • Provide technical support to commissioning and construction teams

  • Interpret 3D and 2D design deliverables

  • Review the project 3D model and design drawings

  • Accountable for the quality of deliverables in line with the needs of the customer and regulatory authorities

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of engineering principles and practical application - Ability to work in a fast moving, customer focused environment whilst maintaining the highest ethical integrity
