Description: The Crab & Lobster Inn is currently recruiting for a hot-side chef to join our team. Perched right above Bembridge beach, The Crab and Lobster Inn is a busy and vibrant pub, specialising in seafood and boasting a refined a la carte menu. Reporting to the head chef, the successful applicant will have a passion for working with seasonal fresh produce in an often fast passed environment. You will also be an excellent communicator and team player with the ability to motivate and development junior members of the kitchen team. This position would suit someone who has previously worked in a restaurant or good quality pub environment. Requirements & Responsibilities: To work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficiently & food is prepared & presented to the highest standards, served efficiently & is consistent. Self-motivated Be organised and have good communication skills. Cook dishes to specification. . Be used to working in a fast paced environment. . Thrive working under pressure The ability to monitor stock control , ensuring stock rotation & portion control Maintain food hygiene policies and regulations.
