Locum Urology Opportunity Kentucky
Seeking a locum Urologist to provide weekend inpatient call coverage beginning in 2026. This opportunity supports Mercy Health Urology , which currently includes one physician and two nurse practitioners who focus on outpatient care.
Position Details:
Hospital-based, inpatient coverage
Coverage needed approximately 1 2 weekends per month (Thursday or Friday morning through Monday morning)
Responsibilities include call coverage, inpatient consults, rounding on urology patients, and performing necessary procedures and surgeries
No additional urologists onsite during assignment
Opportunity available for locum-to-permanent placement
Practice Environment:
Onsite laboratory and imaging services
Robotic surgery equipment available (not currently required but supported if provider is skilled)
Procedures Required:
General urology procedures
Advanced endoscopic techniques
Ureteroscopy
Laser-certified procedures
Requirements:
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Urology
Kentucky medical license preferred; Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) accepted
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Flu vaccination required; COVID vaccination highly preferred
NPDB self-query report required at time of presentation
Additional Details:
Estimated credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days with temporary privileges available
Travel and lodging accommodations provided
This assignment offers flexible weekend coverage within a supportive hospital-based urology practice.
