Hematology/Oncology Physician

We are working with a healthcare system in Virginia seeking Hematology/Oncology Physician coverage for ongoing outpatient clinic and call support. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians comfortable in a fast-paced oncology environment with multi-site flexibility.

Assignment Details

Ongoing coverage starting July 2026
Hospital outpatient Hematology/Oncology department
Block scheduling with recurring clinic + call rotation

Schedule

Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM clinic
Friday clinic every 3rd week
Call coverage: Monday Sunday every 3rd week
No IMLC; active Virginia license required

Practice Setting

Outpatient Hematology/Oncology
Multi-site coverage between two affiliated locations
Infusion center + radiation oncology support
EMR: Epic / Beacon

Work Details

Patient volume: patients/day

Adult and geriatric population

Outpatient Hem/Onc clinic care

Attached infusion services at both locations

Fast-paced, high-volume setting

Support Staff

Multiple NPs

Dedicated RNs

Nurse navigators

Palliative care

Dietician support

Requirements

Board Certified (or board eligible pending exam) in Hematology/Oncology

Active Virginia license required

BLS certification

Virginia DEA required

Minimum 1 year experience

Current flu vaccine required

Credentialing

Additional Notes

Epic experience mandatory (no training provided)

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced oncology practice
