Cardiology Job Details
Location: Spokane, WA
Setting: Inpatient Cardiology Unit
Schedule: 7 consecutive days inpatient, one week per month (Tuesday 7am to Tuesday 7am; variable week)
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
Employment Type: Locum tenens physician (Travel Contract)
Patient Encounters Per Shift: 5 13
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: Ongoing, minimum 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient care for patients with advanced heart failure and those undergoing heart transplant evaluation and management
- Participate in night call coverage, including facility callbacks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality clinical support
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Support the ongoing excellence and growth of the cardiology department
Physician Qualifications
- Active Washington State medical license (required for Washington cardiology jobs)
- Board certification in Cardiology
- Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in heart failure and transplant cardiology
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to take night call and respond to facility callbacks
