Description: Join Our Team as a Clinical Psychologist Make a Difference in Military Healthcare VHS is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Clinical Psychologist for a full-time position supporting Primary Care Behavioral Health services in Biloxi, MS. This vital role offers the opportunity to provide assessment, evidence-based interventions, and consultation within a dynamic primary care and specialty clinic setting at a Military Treatment Facility. You will play a crucial part in delivering timely evaluations and focused treatments to active-duty members and beneficiaries, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary medical team to improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities include conducting assessments under supervision, utilizing therapeutic interview skills, screening patients to prioritize care, performing neuropsychological testing, and assisting providers with diagnosis and treatment strategies. You will also support specialized care for brain-injured and mental health patients, monitor patient interactions, and coordinate with military agencies to ensure comprehensive care. Your expertise will help facilitate patient education and referrals, ensuring seamless access to necessary services. Required Skills: PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship At least 24 months of recent experience providing evidence-based treatment in outpatient or hospital settings Current, unrestricted psychologist license in any U.S. state or territory (or eligibility to obtain licensure within 12 months) Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) Ability to pass a government background check and obtain necessary clearance Nice to Have Skills: Experience working within military or federal healthcare systems Proficiency in neuropsychological testing and assessment Strong collaboration and communication skills Preferred Education and Experience: Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program Recent experience (within the last 36 months) in outpatient or hospital mental health treatment Other Requirements: Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9 hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No call, weekends, or holiday work required Willingness to pass a government background check and obtain necessary clearances This position offers an hourly pay rate of $85.00, along with comprehensive benefits including competitive pay packages, weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, referral bonuses, licensure and travel reimbursements, and more.
