Description: ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking multiple Diagnostic Radiology readers for a high-volume hospital-based practice during a transition from a group model to employed providers. This role requires 24/7 reading coverage with the ability to interpret CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies across all shifts. A hybrid onsite/remote schedule is preferred, offering flexibility while supporting a busy trauma-designated department. Dates / Schedule
Start Date: March 21, 2026 at 12:00 AM
Assignment Length: 3 6 months, with potential extension based on ongoing needs
Coverage Model: 24/7 reading coverage (no traditional call)
Shift Structure: Morning, afternoon, night, and overnight shifts
Staffing: Two radiologists per shift
Practice Setting: Hospital-based with some remote work; hybrid preferred
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: days upon completion of applications
Job Details & Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic radiology interpretations in a very high-volume department
Read and interpret CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies around the clock
Support a Trauma Level I facility
Utilize EPIC EMR, PowerScribe, and PACS
Work with a full complement of support staff
Serve a broad patient population including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (minimal pediatric volume)
Collaborate closely with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Participate in a hybrid onsite/remote workflow as available
Maintain quality, safety, and patient-centered imaging standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR)
Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC at time of submission
Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty (e.g., Neuroimaging, Cardiac Imaging) highly preferred
Proficiency with PACS, PowerScribe, and modern radiology IT platforms
Experience with US and stereotactic-guided biopsies, aspirations, and localizations
DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility)
BLS required (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty)
Experience in high-volume, integrated health system environments
Prior experience with hybrid onsite/remote practice models
Strong collaborative skills and commitment to quality and patient safety
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
Willingness to comply with medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements
