Description: Locums - Neonatology
Location: Spartanburg, South CarolinaAssignment Overview
- Facility: Large healthcare system in South Carolina
- Unit: 35-bed, Level III NICU
- Annual Deliveries: 3,400-3,900
- Annual NICU Admissions: 370-400
- Daily Census: 25-29 babies
Schedule & Coverage
- 24-hour shifts (rounding plus call)
- Well-baby rounding 2 weeks out of every 4 weeks (with Family Medicine Residency program)
- NNP night coverage (12-hour PM shifts)
Clinical Scope
- Oversight of Level III NICU
- High-frequency ventilation
- Hypothermia therapy
- Subspecialty support available:
- Cardiology
- Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Collaborative support with 3-member MFM group
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Minimum 1 year post-fellowship experience
- Active South Carolina medical license
- Must be clinically active within the past 12 months
- Minimum 6 months of clinical experience within Neonatology specialty

- Comfortable managing Level III acuity
