Description: A well-established community hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its growing respiratory care team. This modern acute-care facility offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, advanced medical technology, and a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care. Full-Time Days or Nights Rotating Weekends
What You ll Do As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering life-saving respiratory care and supporting patients through both routine treatment and critical situations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient respiratory status through physical examination, breath sound interpretation, and airway evaluation
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance treatments
- Initiate, monitor, and adjust invasive and noninvasive ventilation
- Assist with artificial airway placement and respond to respiratory emergencies
- Provide respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and acute care settings
- Support newborn stabilization during deliveries when needed
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment
- Maintain respiratory equipment, ensure proper cleaning, and follow infection control standards
- Safely transport ventilated patients when necessary
Qualifications - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligible)
- BLS / CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- Associate degree, certificate, or vocational training in Respiratory Therapy
