Location: Leeds Start Date: 6th October Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only (Long-term) Pay: ss85-ss115 per day (dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential. Applications are welcomed from both experienced Teaching Assistants and those newly qualified at Level 2 or Level 3. Key Responsibilities - Provide in-class support to pupils, helping to scaffold learning and promote engagement
- Work alongside the class teacher to prepare and adapt learning resources
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, adapting approaches as required
- Build positive working relationships with staff, parents, and carers
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Requirements - Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH (desirable)
- A flexible, patient, and proactive approach
Eligibility Criteria To be considered for this role, you must: - Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Provide two professional references relating to work with children
