Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

• Contract physician(s) (as appropriate and within the scope of practice/privileging) shall be responsible for providing psychiatric care, including:


• Physical Assessment, Psychiatric Evaluations and Mental Status Exams, Psychotherapy, Pharmacotherapy, Consultation, Clinical Supervision, General Medical Condition Care, Group Psychotherapy, Behavior Therapy, Family Therapy, Treatment Team meetings, Discharge Planning, referring patients to specialty care, histories and physicals, order prescriptions, labs, x-rays, and other pertinent tests, completes documentation requirements promptly as per policy, completion of consults from locations at the facility, and evaluates outpatients for medication as needed. Contracted psychiatrists shall have an active and valid DEA license and shall have the ability to prescribe Buprenorphine and Clozapine.
