Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with special educational needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including learning support assistants, therapists, and parents, to develop and implement individualised education plans
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, and contribute to the school's reporting and assessment processes
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in special education
• Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's special educational needs provision

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified teacher status with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. , Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a teacher, with a strong focus on special educational needs
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum, as well as evidence-based teaching strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Proficient in the use of technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in special education
