Key Responsibilities as a Full-time SEN Behaviour Mentor:

• Develop and implement behaviour management plans that address the specific needs of students with SEN
• Provide one-to-one and group support to students, helping them develop self-regulation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and the wider school community
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to supporting student development
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
• Maintain detailed records and documentation to inform decision-making and report on student progress
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN behaviour support
• Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that empowers students to thrive

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related field (e.g. , education, psychology, social work)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a behaviour support or mentoring role
• Demonstrated expertise in behaviour management strategies and a deep understanding of the drivers of challenging behaviours
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and professionals
• Proficiency in creating and implementing tailored intervention plans to address individual student needs
• Keen observational skills and the ability to analyse data to inform decision-making and track student progress
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for supporting the growth and success of students with SEN
