Our client, a renowned educational institution in the heart of Sale, Trafford, is seeking an exceptional individual to join their team as a full-time ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting and empowering young learners with diverse needs.

As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized support and guidance to students with autism spectrum disorder. Your primary responsibilities will involve delivering tailored educational programmes, implementing effective behaviour management strategies, and collaborating closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of individuals with ASD, as well as the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The salary range for this position is ss102 - ss115 per day, making it a competitive and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.

  • Provide personalised support and guidance to students with ASD, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and learning styles
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive educational programmes
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, multisensory lessons that cater to the diverse needs of ASD students
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, such as communication, social interaction, and independent living
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with ASD or other special educational needs
  • A relevant qualification in education, special education, or a related field
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to think creatively and respond effectively to changing needs
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs
