Gastroenterology Physician Assistant

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

• EMR: Epic (Previous experience required).

• Patient Ratio: 1:


• Patient Demographic: Adults (18+)


• Acuity: Acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems.


• Support Staff: 1 Physician, 1 NP, 1 LPN, and Anesthesia support for each procedure.


• Responsibilities: Document medical evaluations and treatments consistent with NCQA and TJC standards.




• Perform medical and emergency interventions.


• Manage appropriate coding and billing documentation.


• Refer complex cases to collaborating physicians.

• Board Status: Must be Board Certified.


• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent Gastroenterology experience.


• Licensure: Active New York State License in hand (Required).


• Certifications: Active AHA BLS (Required).


• Submission Needs: Updated CV showing all experience and gaps >30 days.




• Physician statement for any malpractice (past or present).


• Pre-submission Name Clear is required.

• Personality Fit: Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Cell Phone Policy: Not allowed on the floor; must remain in a locker.


• Dress Code: Business Casual.




• Closed-toe/closed-heel shoes with socks/hosiery required.


• Natural hair colors only.


• No artificial fingernail enhancements (acrylics, gels, shellac, etc.).


• Facial and tongue piercings are prohibited; earrings limited to 2 pair.
