Description: JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Urology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Onamia, MN Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Weekdays, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM COVERAGE DATES Part-time coverage; approximately 4 days per month (1 day per week or 2 days twice monthly) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: 1520 clinic patients per day - 510 surgeries per day Rounding: Included as needed Case Mix: General urology including clinic visits and surgical procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 18-bed critical access hospital Trauma Level: Adult Level IV EMR System: Athena (clinic) / Medhost (hospital) Office Equipment Available: Standard urology clinic and surgical equipment Specialty Backup Available: Experienced surgical team Support Staff Available: Dedicated clinic nurse Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES Macroplastique injections Botox injections Stone removals TURP and TURB procedures Biopsies and general urologic surgeries JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: MN license required or IMLC eligible Board: Board Certified required DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year of urology experience Other Qualifications: Strong bedside manner and communication skills; experience with open and laparoscopic procedures DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient urology care and perform surgical procedures Manage clinic patients and operative cases Collaborate with nursing staff and surgical team Deliver patient-centered care in a critical access hospital setting Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems |
