Description: - Work Dates Needed: April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027
- Preferred Schedule:
- Regular Shift: 7am to 7pm or 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am; Mon - Sun, including holidays. 12 hrs. per shift
- Swing Shift: 12pm to 12am or 2pm to 2am; Mon-Sun including holidays. 12 hrs. per shift.
- Worksite Setting: IHS Hospital
- Scope of Work:
- Diagnose/evaluate and treat patients who come to the ER. This includes stabilization and transfer of major trauma (penetrating wounds, hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury. significant blunt trauma etc.).
- Provider must be competent in the management, stabilization and transfer of pediatric trauma, pediatric advanced life support adult cardiac life support, psychiatric emergencies such as suicide, and complex/critical medical conditions (septic shock, cardiopulmonary shock, end stage renal disease, etc.).
- Provider shall be competent in advanced airway management including endotracheal intubation and Rapid Sequence Intubation.
- Contract provider shall serve as first responder for "codes."
- Provide consultation and assistance to the UC midlevel providers (PAs/NPs), assisting them with patient care as needed.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements:
- ABEM/AOBEM Certified. Candidates just graduating residency may be BE only.
- Must have CPR, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
- Must complete a US residency in EM.
- Not have a loss of licensure of suspended licensure of ANY medical profession
- Disclose any lawsuits or board actions
- Not had a lapse in practice greater than 6 months leading up to the assignment
- Any state medical license
- Valid/unrestricted DEA with schedule II-V
- Shall not have any history of drug abuse (alcohol, narcotics, amphetamines,)
- Current Immunizations
- Fingerprinting and Security Clearance
