SEMH Teacher - Caerphilly

Full-Time ss172.92 - ss224.00 per day (depending on experience)

Our client, a progressive and supportive educational setting in the heart of Caerphilly, is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teacher to join their committed team on a full-time basis.

Role

As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel supported, safe, and motivated to learn.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of each learner while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support students' overall development and wellbeing.

We are looking for a teacher who combines strong classroom practice with empathy and resilience, and who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver adapted, engaging lessons to support pupils with SEMH needs

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and engagement

  • Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs of each student

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and specialists to support pupil progress

  • Monitor and assess student progress to inform future learning strategies

  • Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of pupils

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

  • Experience or specialist knowledge in SEMH education

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs

  • Commitment to inclusive and equitable education practices

  • Resilience and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic educational environment
