Critical Care/ICU/PICU/NICU Physician Assistant

We are currently seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team at the Saint Francis Heart and Vascular Institute. This is an exciting opportunity for an APP to manage a diverse and complex group of patients in the cardiac critical care setting, including those requiring Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).

Position Highlights:

  Manage critically ill cardiac patients in an intensive care setting, including both traditional and complex cardiac surgical cases.

  Key responsibilities include direct patient management, clinical decision-making, bedside procedures (central venous lines, arterial lines, intubation), and patient, family, and staff education.

  Our team operates 24/7 with a collaborative approach, and you ll work a flexible schedule of 14 shifts per 4-week period, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  Participate in daily rounds with multidisciplinary teams, providing valuable input on patient care.

  Gain hands-on experience performing procedures like central venous lines, temporary dialysis lines, intubation, chest tubes, and assisting with acute mechanical circulatory devices.
