Position: Surgery - General Physician Assistant |
Description: Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join a high-performing General Surgery service.
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
- Must have active NC license and NC DEA
- Start Date: October 1, 2025 for 3 months
- Flexible Scheduling: Full-time or part-time choose between three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
- Shift Hours: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Join a collaborative surgical team where you will:
- Round on pre- and post-operative patients
- Evaluate and manage new consults
- Coordinate patient care
- Occasionally assist in post-op clinic (non-operative position)
- Support Team Includes:
- 1 attending surgeon
- 1 senior resident (PGY 4/5)
- 1 junior resident (PGY 1/2)
- Ideal Candidate:
- Familiarity with acute surgical conditions such as: Abdominal pain, Appendicitis, Gallbladder disease, Bowel obstruction, Hernias, Diverticulitis, Pancreatitis, Perforated viscus, Soft tissue infections
- EMR: Cerner Powerchart
- Competitive hourly rate, malpractice, travel and housing covered as needed
