Description: Inpatient NP Hospitalist Opportunity in Kansas City, MOPosition: Hospitalist Nurse PractitionerEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Atchison, MOOverview:The Group is seeking a full-time Hospitalist APRN to join the inpatient acute medical unit team. This role works under the direction of the Medical Director of Inpatient Services and is responsible for managing a 21-bed unit. Enjoy a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team, a manageable daily census of 9-12 patients (max 21), including up to 4 ICU patients, and flexibility to complete documentation off-site after daily rounds.Responsibilities:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, case management, therapy, social work, and nursingManage inpatient care from admission to dischargeOrder and interpret labs, diagnostics, and treatment plansComplete required documentation per Medical Staff Rules and BylawsEducate patients on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive careProvide excellent bedside manner and effective communicationQualifications:Master of Science in Nursing requiredDoctorate in Nursing Practice preferredActive Kansas Nurse Practitioner license and DEA license requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years' hospitalist or acute care experience required3+ years' experience preferredAdditional Info:Travel: Periodic as neededPatient census: 9-12 per day on average, not to exceed 21ICU patients: Maximum of 4Workload includes documentation flexibility post-roundsSupported by comprehensive services including radiology, pharmacy, lab, and moreLive and work in the charming city of Atchison, KS; steeped in history, nestled along the Missouri River, and just minutes from Kansas City.
