Locums OB/GYN Hospitalist Call Only Somerset, KY (IMLC accepted)
Why This Role?
- 24-hour in-house OB/GYN hospitalist shifts
- 23-bed unit with 2 dedicated ORs for C-sections and emergencies
- Ongoing call need with multiple provider slots available
- Temporary privileges offered for a faster start
Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Call Only
- Schedule: 24-hour in-house call; 1:6 call ratio
- EMR: MediTech
- Credentialing: 60 days
- Drive-in candidates only (no airfare)
Clinical Details
- Inpatient OB/GYN hospitalist model
- Avg volume: 12 patients seen/day, 3 admissions/day, 8 phone consults/day
- Must respond within 30 minutes while on site
- Assigned patient rounding
- Stroke certified facility
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN
- Active KY license or IMLC
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Clean history
Skills Needed
- Full-scope OB including low and high-risk pregnancy management
- NST, CST, FSE interpretation
- OB ultrasound (Level I & II), amniocentesis
- Vaginal and C-section deliveries, including breech, multiples, VBACs
- Complication management and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Surgical GYN: open and laparoscopic procedures, ectopic, ovarian, cystectomy
