Description: Physician Family Medicine Confidential urgent-care locum opportunity near Huntsville, Alabama. Provide independent urgent-care coverage for walk-in and scheduled patients with documentation in the facility EHR. Schedule is Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM with expected volume up to 20 visits per day. Patient mix includes minor adult and pediatric illnesses, minor trauma and orthopedics, and work-comp physicals. On-site services include X-ray, basic lab, EKG, and spirometry. Common procedures include suturing, incision and drainage, lesion destruction, and basic splinting or casting. Emergency equipment available on site. No routine hospital admissions required; physician functions independently. DOT physicals are not required. Requirements include board-eligible physician; family medicine or emergency medicine training preferred. Urgent-care procedural experience and EHR familiarity preferred.
