Position: Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant |
Description: We are seeking a Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to provide locum support in a hospital-based setting. This role will primarily focus on surgical first-assist coverage and variable call responsibilities for elective and emergent CV procedures.
Position Details:
- Variable call coverage (details pending)
- 3 months assignment, start ASAP
- Support Staff includes 2 physicians + nursing team
- Credentialing: 30 days (expedited efforts in place)
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- First assisting in the OR for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) using Hemopro or Vasoview
- Pre- and post-operative patient management
- Supporting robotic thoracic surgeries
- Case types include Robotic Thoracic, CABG, Carotids, AATA, Aneurysm & Aorta Repair, Valve Replacements, and Peripheral Bypasses
Requirements:
- Prior CV surgical APP experience
- DEA required
- Active Texas license preferred
