Pathology Physician

We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Pathologist to provide locum coverage starting in October at a high-acuity, academic-affiliated medical center in New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team in a high-volume cancer center environment, focusing on complex surgical pathology cases.

  Commitment: Minimum 2 weeks per month (no exceptions)

  Location: Onsite in New Jersey must hold an active NJ medical license

  Environment: Academic / high-volume cancer center


• 
  Schedule: Full-time, 89 hours/day + on-call coverage (taken from hotel)


• 
  On-Call: 24-hour coverage on scheduled days (no call room; remote from lodging)


• 
  Team Structure: Collaborate with other pathologists, supported by 2 PAs, 2 cytotechs, and office staff

• 
  Primary Focus: Anatomic pathology, including cytology


• Perform expert review and diagnosis of large cancer resection cases and complex surgical pathology specimens


• Utilize EPIC EMR for all documentation and reporting


• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled, addressing pathology consults as needed

• 
  Board Certified in Pathology


• 
  Active New Jersey medical license required at time of submission


• 
  Extensive proficiency in surgical pathology, with emphasis on large cancer resections


• Prior experience in an academic or high-volume cancer center strongly preferred


• Must be trained and proficient in EPIC EMR


• Ability to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks per month
  

• No DEA, BLS, or additional certifications required


• No anticipated procedures or surgeries outside of diagnostic responsibilities


• No responsibility for Advanced Practice Providers
