Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens (Georgia)
12-Hour Shifts 6-Month Assignment
We are currently seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a 6-month locum tenens opportunity in central Georgia. This is a great fit for board-certified EM, FM, or IM physicians looking for a well-supported, community-based ED with a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.
Position Highlights
Shifts: 12-hour blocks 7am7pm or 7pm7am
Volume: 82 patients per day
Annual ED Visits: 29,800
Admission Rate: Only 5.1%
EMS Mix: 9.3%
Call: None
Beds: 14-bed Emergency Department
Support: 24/7 APP coverage (NPs/PAs scheduled 9a9p & 12p12a)
EMR: EPIC
Benefits & Logistics
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Flexible commitment: minimum of 5 shifts/month
Privileging: 60 days (no expedited)
Travel & lodging: Available
Malpractice with tail: Provided
Requirements
- Board Certification in EM, FM, or IM (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, or ABIM only)
Active Georgia license required
ACLS & PALS certifications
- Recent ED experience in a similar volume setting
